With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Aldeltrice Demond Murphy. "Trapp Da Rapper," as he was affectionately known, was a native of Mosses, AL, and a resident of Montgomery, AL. Dee transitioned Monday, May 15th, 2023. He was 27. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, May 26th, 2023 between the hours of 4PM and 6PM at Jackson Professional Funeral Services. On Saturday, May 27th, 2023, at Central High School in Hayneville, AL, a Public Visitation will be held from 1PM until the Celebration of Life begins at 2PM. Committal & Interment will follow at Bougahoma Baptist Church.
Aldeltrice Demond Murphy was born in Montgomery, AL to Latresha Murphy and Derrick Grant on January 28, 1996. He was a member of Bougahoma Missionary Baptist Church. “Dee,” as he was affectionately known, attended Central High School in Hayneville, AL. He graduated with the Class of 2014. Dee loved his children, his family and was a dedicated friend. He had a passion for music, especially the genre of Rap. He became known as “Trapp Da Rapper” after releasing a variety of songs.
He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He leaves to remember his life; three children: Malaiya and Milani Bell of Montgomery, AL, and Kaison Smith of Atlanta, GA; a sister: Ardaisha Owens of Montgomery, AL; a brother: Ladarious Rudolph of Hayneville, AL; grandmother: Sally (Frank) Burke of Hayneville, AL; three aunts: Iaikia (James) McWilliams, Letitia Gordon and Catrina (Demetrius) Houge, all of Montgomery, AL; seven uncles: Steven (Leah) Murphy of Atlanta, GA, Kory (Shundreia) Murphy of Calera, AL, Willie Grant and Chunaris Grant, both of Hayneville, AL, Jenarrow (Shonta) Williams of Wisconsin, Quartez Grant and Alvin Gordon, Jr., both of Birmingham, AL; a great-grandmother: Clynell Grant of Hayneville, AL; a bonus grandmother: Constance Gordon of Birmingham, AL; he also leaves behind a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Aldeltrice was preceded in death by his grandmother: (who raised him as her own) Jennett Murphy; his grandfathers: Robert Aaron & Alvin Gordon, Sr.; and great-grandparents: Lebron & Mary Means Murphy, Margree Aaron & Lula B. Gordon.
