With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Anthony Sanford. A native, and resident, of Montgomery, AL, Mr. Sanford transitioned Friday, May 5th, 2023. He was 59. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, May 19th, 2023 between the hours of 4PM and 6PM at Jackson Professional Funeral Services. On Saturday, May 20th, 2023, at Jackson Professional Funeral Services; A Public Visitation will be held from 10AM until the Celebration of Life begins at 11AM. Committal & Interment will follow at Woodley Memorial Gardens. Pastor Leonard Cammack is the Officiant.
Mr. Anthony “Tookie” Pereze Sanford was born in Montgomery, AL to Mr. John Sanford, Jr. and Mrs. Mary Lee Sanford on September 23, 1963. The morning of Friday, May 5, 2023, Tookie peacefully transitioned.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson: Quindatrius “Quint T.” Peterson; a sister: Wanda Jackson; a nephew: Lamontay Hudson; and two brothers-in-law: Alphonza Jackson and Rock Hudson.
Tookie was the life of every family gathering, and favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed. His memories will forever be cherished by his daughter: Antrenique (Christopher Boyd) Peterson; a grandson: Derrick Williams; five great-granddaughters: Kaliegh Peterson, A’rielle Peterson, Quindasia Peterson, Noah Boyer, and Brooklyn Coleman; one brother: John (Fronie) Sanford, III; four sisters: Annette Sanford, Joyce Wigfall, Chondra Hudson, and Yeyette Sanford; two aunts: Dorothy Lloyd of Hackensack, NJ, and Mary Sanford of Montgomery,
AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends, including his devoted cousins; the Glenn Family.
