Barbara Jean Herbert

With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Ms. Barbara J. Herbert. A native, and resident, of Montgomery, AL, Ms. Herbert transitioned Tuesday, February 21st, 2023. She was 60. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 4th, 2023 at 3PM in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services.

Barbara jean Herbert was born May 21st, 1962 to George Herbert and Carlean McCary in Montgomery, AL. Barbara grew up with tow siblings, Willie and Eliza Terrell. She attended Harrison Jr. High School and Lanier High School in Montgomery, AL. She was the mother of four children. Barbara was a loving mother, grand mother and friend. She immediately lit up any room when she entered. She impacted so many people in her own way. Her hobbies included working, gardening, shopping and cooking. She enjoyed singing and dancing, but most importantly, she found so much joy spending time with her grandchildren. Those were the precious moments in her life that mattered the most.

On February 21st, 2023, Barbara departed this earthly home after a battle with cancer. She was preceded in death by her mother, Carlean McCary; a son, Dollarvelll; and her sister; Eliza Terrell.

Barbara leaves to cherish her loving memories; her father; George Herbert of Montgomery, AL; her children: April Herbert of Montgomery, AL; nine grandchildren, Kalia, Angel, Kash, Harmony, Skylar, and Zaiden; one brother: Willie Herbert, of Montgomery, AL and a host of loving family members, coleages and friends whom she has touched in so many ways.
