With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Benjamin Earl Logan. A native, and resident of Montgomery, AL, Mr. Logan transitioned, Sunday, March 10th, 2024. He was 54. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, March 22nd, 2024 from 4-6PM in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. The Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Saturday, March 23rd, 2024 at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church. The Committal will follow. Pastor Robert Pitts is the Officiant.
Benjamin Earl Logan, 54, of Montgomery, Al, passed on March 10, 2024 in Atlanta, GA where he lived until his untimely death. He is survived by his son Dominique McCormick; his father James(Carolyn) Logan, his sister Michelle(James) Langston; his brother Gregory Logan; five beloved nieces, three great nieces; two great nephews a host of aunts, uncles and cousins. Ben will be immensely missed by his family and friends who were the cornerstone of his life. Ben was a man of ambitious spirit, unwavering loyalty, steadfast reliability and a quick wit and sense of humor that could light up any room.
Ben was distinguished self-made man, with a determination to flourish in life. Ben moved to Georgia after completing his bachelor degree from Alabama State University, he worked as an IT consultant for over 25 years. He went on to get several certifications in IT. He later went on to get his master of science degree from Columbus State University. When the housing market crashed in 2008 Ben obtain his realtors license and began purchasing multiple homes and apartment and began yet another career in the housing industry. Ben not only purchased homes but he taught himself how to fix anything broken on them. There wasn’t anything he couldn’t do. Ben was a dedicated alumin of Carver High School class of 87, deeply commited to his fellow classmates. He loved spending time with family and friends, traveling and using his hands to fix just about any and everything. He was always lending a helping hand to others.
Ben built friendships deep and wide. He is a doting uncle to all his nieces. Ben’s greatest accomplishments will forever be his relationships. As his family we know this grief is shared by so many. If it was up to Ben, his obituary would read: “Ben Lo died, at age 54(good looking dude), after trying to hit on his bikini-clad hospital nurse just moments earlier. The LBC the ladies man, game slayer, and outlaw. Ben told his last inappropriate joke on Saturday, March 10, 2024, that which cannot be printed here.”
