With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Calvin Logan, a native, and resident of Montgomery, AL. Mr. Logan transitioned on Sunday, May 29th, 2022. He was 71. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, June 3rd, 2022, from 4PM-6PM in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, June 4th, 2022 at 11AM. This service will also be held in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services with a Public Visitation beginning at 10AM. Pastor Robert Pitts is the Officiant. The Committal & Military Honors will follow the service. The Interment will take place Monday, June 6th, 2022 at 11AM in the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery in Phenix City, AL.
Calvin Logan, the son of the late Ethel & James Logan, Sr. was born June 12th, 1950 in Montgomery County, AL. Calvin attended Carver High School. Shortly after graduating, he worked at McDonald's on Fairview Ave. On September 17th, 1974, he enlisted in the United States Army. He served his country, was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, and received an honorable discharge. Calvin lived his life thoroughly until he passed away on Sunday, May 29th, 2022.
Calvin leaves to cherish his memories, a loving daughter: Kheshon Logan of Gainesville, FL; a granddaughter: Kayla Logan of Newark, NJ; two brothers: James (Carolyn) Logan of Clio, AL and Morris Jessie Bibb of Montgomery, AL; four sisters: Jessie Pitts, Claudette Kelly, Agnis (James) Long and Ethel (Willie) Pitts all of Montgomery, AL; one aunt: Zelma Harmon also of Montgomery, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by a brother; Leroy Logan, and two brothers-in-law; Morris Pitts and Roscoe Kelly.
