With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Curtis Levon King. A resident, of Montgomery, AL; Mr. King transitioned Saturday, November 18th, 2023. He was 56. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, December 1st, 2023 between the hours of 4PM and 6PM at Jackson Professional Funeral Services. On Saturday, December 2nd, 2023, a Celebration of Life be held at 11AM, in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services.
Curtis Levon King was born on January 18th, 1967, to the late Sarah Nell (McQueen) King and Oscar Lee King. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, November 18th, 2023, surrounded by his loving siblings.
Curtis accepted Christ and joined New Hope Baptist Church, in Hunter Station in his early years. He received his education in the Montgomery Public Schools system, attending George Washington Carver High School.
Curtis loved to cook and many of his life experiences occurred with food as a vehicle. He was employed over the years cooking in several restaurants around Montgomery and Birmingham, and loved to man the grill during family cookouts. He was also a very talented artist and loved to express himself through his drawings.
Curtis King is preceded in death by his brother: Alfred Leon McQueen. He is survived by; his sisters: Marshetia “Shelia” King & Tangela “Tangie” King; a brother: Larry (Kim) Jackson; his loving nieces: Destinee Johnson, LaShana Jackson, LaShima Jackson, Lolita “Shine” (Roland) Hill, Malakia “Lake” (Donika) Williams, McKenzi King and Yasmine “Yazzie” McQueen; nephews: Altuwan “Toot” (Michelle) Hill, Larry (Sumyah) Jackson Jr., and Myles King; eight aunts, four uncles, and a host of cousins and close friends. Curtis King will be greatly missed by his family & friends who loved him dearly….
