With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Daniel Mitchell, a native and resident, of Montgomery, AL, Mr. Mitchell transitioned, Monday, January 8th, 2024. He was 74. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, January 19th, 2024 from 4-6PM in the Visitation Suite of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. The Celebration of Life Service will be held Saturday, January 20th, 2024 in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. The service time is 2PM. Mr. Mitchell will lie in state one hour prior to the service. Committal and Interment will follow at Kindle Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery.
Monday, January 8th, 2024, Daniel Mitchell gained his wings and took flight to be with the Lord. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home. Daniel was preceded in death by; his wife: Betty Mitchell; parents: Fair and Louise Mitchell; two sisters: Annie Louise Mitchell Hill & Louise Elizabeth Mitchell; seven brothers: Johnny Mitchell, Henry Mitchell, Edward Mitchell, Frank Mitchell, Dave (Josephine) Mitchell & Bruce Mitchell.
He leaves to forever cherish and adore his memories; his daughters: Lakeshia Hall, Tarika (Fredrick) Harris, Linda Lacy; a son: Joseph Lacy; brothers: Essie Mitchell & Fair Mitchell, Jr. of Mobile, AL; a sister: Mary Mitchell of Chickasaw, AL; brother-in-laws: Jerome Lacy & Samuel (Wilma) Lacy; sister-in-laws: Sammye Mitchell, Gloria Mitchell & Harriet Fishoe; grandchildren: Donald, Valencia, Lakerra, Jermaine, Joseph, Jr., R'Keshia, Javorous, Danquice, Braddrick, Roderious, DreKwan, JaLicia (DeMarcus), ZyKeria, Quantazia, India, Mariah, Jada, QuanTia, Kadaisha, Isaiah, Jaiden, Kari, Italia, Nolan, Leilani & DeMarcus, Jr; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Daniel was a well known business owner of Mitchell Roofing & Contracting. He was passionate about his work, and took great pride in any job he performed in the Southeast Region. He was loved tremendously and will be missed dearly.
