With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. David Jerome Byrd. A native, and resident of Montgomery, AL, Mr. Byrd transitioned Thursday, October 13th, 2022. He was 57. A Public Visitation will be held from 2PM until the Celebration of Life Service begins at 3PM on Sunday, October 23rd, 2022 at Restoration Baptist Church where Rev. Trey Stewart is the Pastor. Rev. Charles Zimmerman is the Officiant. The Committal will follow the service.
David Jerome Byrd was born March 30th, 1965 in Montgomery, AL. Mane, as he was affectionately called, gave his life to Christ as a child at St. Paul Methodist Church. He attended Montgomery Public Schools, and graduated from Jeff Davis High School. David was a die-hard Alabama football fan. To relax on the beach and traveling abroad were some of the things that he enjoyed most.
He leaves to forever cherish and adore his memory; his wife: Mrs. Kanisha D. Carter-Byrd; his children: Jamarcus Webb, Na'yanna Webb, Zanilah Carter and Za'Moriah Neal; two grandchildren: Jamarcus Webb, Jr. and Jamariya Webb; five brothers; Willie (Annie) Richardson, Fredrick Clayton, Charlie Byrd, Columbus (Mary) Byrd and Quincy (Michelle) Reynolds; an aunt: Mittie (Jessie) Boyd; devoted friends: Ronald Ligon, Matthew Wilson, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many other special friends throughout the community.
David is preceded in death by his parents: Martha Richardson and David Byrd; and a sister, Jacqueline Gray Quincy.
