Doris Elizabeth (Davis) Martin

With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Ms. Doris Elizabeth Martin.  A native of Ohio, and resident of Montgomery, AL, Ms. Martin transitioned on Friday, November 5th, 2021; she was 66.  A homegoing memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13th, 2021, at 11am from the McComb Honorary Chapel of J.P.F.S.  Bishop Donatus Okafor of Divine Touch Ministries is the officiant.  In compliance with government recommendations and J.P.F.S. public safety standards, all individuals attending the service are subject to temperature screening and required to wear a mask or face covering at all times while inside the facility. 

Mrs. Doris Elizabeth Martin was born to Roberta Davis and Southern Rogers, Jr.  in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the third of five children.  A graduate of Lanier High School, Ms. Martin had a deep love for the Lord and loved working with her church family and outreach ministries.  She was a cheerful and loving person who enjoyed cooking, movies, and spending time with family. For more than 20 years, Mrs. Martin was employed as a bus driver for the City of Montgomery Transit System.

Doris leaves to forever cherish and adore her memories a devoted son: Mr. Cordell Davis of Huntsville, AL; a daughter: Ms. Datara Martin of Montgomery, AL; grandchildren: Paige Davis, Tyler Davis, Brandon Martin, and Kirsten Shepherd; one great-grandson: Brayden Martin; siblings: Mr. Donald Davis, Oran Davis, Mable Davis, and Virginia Stanford.
