With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Ernest Kinte (Bay-B) Merriweather. A native, and resident of Montgomery, AL; Mr. Merriweather transitioned Saturday, June 25th, 2022. He was 38. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, July 8th, 2022 from 4-6PM in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, July 9th, 2022 beginning at 1PM at St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Old-Field. Pastor Martin L. Stinson is the Officiant. The Committal and Interment will follow at Kindle Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Ernest Kinte Merriweather was born to Annetta Merriweather and Robert Berry on August 12th, 1983 in Montgomery, Alabama. Ernest was affectionately known to many as "Bay-B" and enjoyed living life, and appreciating the gifts that it gave. He attended Montgomery City Schools. Bay-B especially loved his family, and enjoyed spending time with his brothers and sister, being a social partner for his mom, and Alabama football "Roll-Tide". He was known to leave the scene with a huge smile, often saying..."You know how I rock!"
Left to cherish his memories are his children: Kentavious Merriweather, Taniyah Merriweather, Tiara Merriweather, SheKerria Merriweather, Tanaysia Mayes, Breyonna Mayes and Quendarius Belser; his significant other for over twenty years: Latisha Mayes; his loving and devoted mother: Annetta Merriweather; his grandmother: Almatine Merriweather; one sister: Mary "Plum" Merriweather; three brothers: Terry (Jennifer) Merriweather, Roderick "Drey" Merriweather and Lewis "Puky" Merriweather. Bay-B also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, other relatives to include Fredrick Reese, Jr., Larivea Reese, his Gibbs Village Family, and many friends.
