Eva Lee (Lawrence) Poole

Mrs. Eva Poole, a resident of Montgomery, AL, peacefully transitioned on today, July 8th, 2020

Public Visitation will be held Sunday, July 12th, 2020 from 4-6 pm in the chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 13th, 2020 at 11am; in the chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. Mrs. Poole will be laid to rest at Forest Hills Cemetery. Pastor Sylvester Poole, Sr. is the officiant. In compliance with the directive issued by Mayor Reed as well as CDC guidelines, individuals attending the visitation and/or funeral services are required to wear a mask or face covering throughout the time they are in the facility.

Mrs. Eva Lee (Lawrence) Poole, a native and resident of Montgomery,
AL, was born on June 13 th , 1937 to Mr. Zeak & Mrs. Lonnie Lawrence.
She peacefully transitioned on Wednesday, July 8 th , 2020. Eva received
her education through the Montgomery Public School System. Later in
life, she met, fell in love with, and married Mr. Raymond Poole. Their
union was blessed with two daughters.

Mrs. Poole, as she was affectionately called, was a nurturer and cared
for people. Laughing, dancing, and most of all cooking were some of
the many things that she enjoyed doing. She was a devoted mother,
grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to many. She had a
genuine heart for people and loved to bless and encourage others
through her gifts of cooking and laughter.

Eva Poole, the matriarch of her family, leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted daughter and
son-in-law: Mrs. Dorothy and Christopher Christian; her grandchildren
whom she adored: Willie and Rose Lawrence, Twnica Newton, Mignon
Lawrence, Victoria and Kelvin Walton, Crystal Christian, and
Christopher Christian, II; several great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law:
Ethel Jenkins; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and
friends, including two adopted children: Ms. Gloria Thompson and Mr.
Lawrence E. Jackson, Jr.

Mrs. Poole is preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Raymond Poole;
parents: Mr. Zeak and Mrs.Lonnie Lawrence; one daughter: Helen
Newton, and all of her siblings.
