Ms. Evelyn R. Nevels Bruns, a resident of Montgomery, AL, peacefully transitioned on Friday, July 3rd, 2020. A private memorial service will be held Saturday, July 11th, 2020 @ 2 pm. Those who seek to participate are encouraged to contact the family through the funeral home.
Evelyn was born April 14th, 1963 to Mrs. Lula Williams and Mr. Ivory Sidney Williams. A native of Chicago, IL; she attended Wendell Phillips High School. Later in life she moved to Indianapolis. Ms. Bruns was a devoted Jehovah Witness and did not mind sharing her faith with whomever she encountered. A dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend; she also loved to cook, was a skilled songstress, and enjoyed skating.
Evelyn cherished life and appreciated the gifts that it offered. She loved beautiful flowers and the colors of spring. Evelyn departed this life on July 3rd, 2020 surrounded by her dedicated family. Her parents, one brother: Christopher L. Williams; and a very close friend: Frank (Nitty) preceded her in death.
Ms. Bruns leaves a loving family to adore and forever cherish her memories. They include, her one and only devoted daughter: Ms. Tawanna Nevels; grandchildren: Taijuan Lozados, Tyriana Nevels, and Terrell Watkins; two siblings; Mr. Ivory Nevels, and Ms. Carmen Williams.
