With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Fernando Bracidicius "Lp Gotti" Edwards. A native, and resident, of Montgomery, AL, Fernando transitioned Sunday, July 23rd, 2023. He was 27. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, August 4th, 2023 between the hours of 4PM and 6PM at Jackson Professional Funeral Services. On Saturday, July 5th, 2023 at Weeping Willow Baptist Church, A Public Visitation will be held from 11AM until the Celebration of Life begins at 12 Noon. Rev. James McTier is the Pastor, Pastor Reginald Simpkins, of The Heart of God Ministries, is the Officiant. Committal & Interment will follow at Springhill A.M.E.Z. Church Cemetery.
Fernando Bracidius Edwards was born in Montgomery, AL to Ms. LaShanta Edwards and Mr. Maurice Pearson on June 20, 1996. he received Christ at a very young age, and became a member of Miracle Deliverance Temple of Christ. He received his education from Montgomery Public Schools and also attended Lee High School.
Fernando loved basketball, his PS5, and was pursuing his music career in which he earned the name "Lp Gotti." Other names, by whom he was affectionately referenced to, were "Pig" & "Peezy." Fernando had a smile that would light up any room. His smile genuinely complemented his character. More than anything; he loved his family, and was a loving father.
Sunday, July 23, 2023, his cares for this world ended as he took flight to join those loved ones who had gone before him. Those who preceded him in death are his daughter: Kaliyah Edwards; his sister: LaToya Edwards; his grandmother: Louise Pearson; and a great-grandmother: Margie Pearson.
Many will miss him, but those who are most affected by his absence are; his four beautiful children: Daylan Jackson, Kaleb Edwards, Khloe Edwards and Kinsley Edwards; his parents: LaShanta Edwards & Maurice Pearson; his devoted fiance' and their unborn child: Charlene Sword; two bonus children: Jamie Carter & Jamarion Carter; his siblings: SaQuan Edwards, Sherecka Edwards, Shawnquarius McGhee, Ja'Kylei Leonard, Jamauriah Pearson, Ja'Kyerstan Pearson & Ja'Kauri Pearson; his grandmother: Mary Edwards; aunts: Charita Edwards (his favorite), Tori Hardy, Tiekya Needham & Tiffany Davis; uncles: Richard Edwards, Michael Pearson & Orlando Pearson; a cousin who he considered as an aunt: Tanesha Pearson; three nephews: SaQuan Edwards, Jr. Jamarion Edwards & Cardarius Edwards; special God-mothers: Monica Oneal & Umekia Scott; a devoted brother/friend: Donta YOWPP; and a host of great aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
