With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. James Carl Passmore, Jr. A resident of Troy, AL. Mr. Passmore transitioned on Thursday, May 5th, 2022. He was 42. The family has chosen to honor Mr. Passmore privately.
Mr. James Carl Passmore, Jr. was born to Carlthen Passmore and Linda Jean Siler-Passmore on July 29th, 1979 in Troy, AL. As a youth, James Carl was a member of the Goshen High School Marching Band. It was during this time that his gift of music was groomed; playing multiple instruments including the flute, trumpet & snare drum. He also became drum major, an accomplishment attained through hard work and dedication.
James also participated in theatre, musicals, and various pageants. Among his many talents were the ability to tell a story through singing and dancing. One of his educational achievements include a Bachelor of Science in Communications. James Carl had a vibrant personality, loved his family and friends and enjoyed sharing his many artistic abilities with everyone. Anyone who knew him could tell you of his infectious smile, and how it brought joy to those around him.
Mr. Passmore leaves to forever cherish and adore his memories, two sisters: Catina Passmore and Phyllis Oden; three brothers: Frankie Passmore, Carlo Passmore and Kenyatta Passmore. He also leaves behind devoted nieces and nephews: Quantana Passmore, Damion Passmore, Jaida Passmore, Carica Passmore, CaVann Passmore, Carmyn Passmore, Jakhyla Passmore, Kenya Passmore, Kemet Passmore, Kam’run and Jamiya Passmore; great nephews: Tai’lon Butts, Kayson Pritchett, and Tylan Passmore; aunts: Rebecca Lawson, Joyce Siler-Smith, Darlene Sullivan, Annette Siler, Jeanette Lewis, Eva Collins and Betty Passmore-Henderson; uncles: Ken Smith, William Youngblood, Cephus Siler, Joe Siler, Willie Fred Flowers, Louis Siler, David Siler and a host of loving cousins, extended family and friends.
James Carl was preceded in death by his parents, a niece: Ja’Lyric Passmore; a nephew: Devonta Passmore; paternal grandparents: Charlie Passmore and Cleone McCullough; and his maternal grandparents; Little Fox Siler and Dorothy Youngblood.
Now you get to watch over us. Jr., you will forever be my love and angel. Your laughter always in my ears; your smile a beacon of light and resilience.
