Obituary

With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Johnathan Darnell Harris, a native of Montgomery, AL and resident of Atlanta, GA. "Jon", as he was affectionately known, transitioned on Thursday, October 14th, 2021. Johnathan was 34. He was a loving, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend. Jon was one to fill the atmosphere with laughs and smiles, and he loved beyond words and measure. He had the a personality that would definitely impact anyone. The memories will be treasures that will last forever.

Jon confessed, at an early age, that Jesus was the son of God. He joined Narrow Lane Church of Christ. He attended school in the Montgomery Public School System, and graduated from Sidney Lanier High School, Class of 2006. After high school Jon attended college at Alabama A&M in Huntsville, AL. He had a deep passion for fashion. Jonathan (Jon) Harris was born in Montgomery, AL on August 20th, 1987. He was the second born of a set of twins to Joe Jackson and Delphine Harris.

Jon was preceded in death by his grandparents: Mary Bell Pickett-Harris, Ann Jackson, A.T. Harris and Moses Jackson, Sr.; Aunts: Mary J. Smith, Carlynn Baker, Jennifer Jackson, and Ethel Pearl Miller; Uncles: K.T. Jackson, Ronald Smith, Albert Jackson, Eugene English and Moses Jackson, Jr.

Jonathan leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted parents: Joe Jackson and Delphine Harris of Montgomery, AL; his siblings: Christopher (Angie0 Harris, Joe Nathan Jackson, Jr. Jackie K. Jackson, Anna Harris, (his twin) Jennifer (Henry Smith) Harris, Keshia Harris, Jessica (Herbert Sands) Harris and Albert Harris; aunts: Rita (James) Broughton, Tina (Fred Wallace) Harris, Peggy Ann (Joseph) McElrath, Winona Gulott, Brenda English and Annie Mae Wilkes; two uncles: Luster Gene Jackson and James Jackson; twenty-six nieces and nephews, one great niece and one great nephew; three devoted friends: Mark McKay, Daven Bernard and Dana "Miami" Lovett; and a host of other family members and friends.
