With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Johnny Mac McLeod. A native, and resident, of Montgomery, AL, Mr. McLeod transitioned Monday, November 27th, 2023. He was 74. A Memorial Service honoring his life will be held at the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services on Saturday, December 2nd, 2023 at 2PM.
Johnny Mac McLeod was born on May 16, 1949 to the late Nellie Mae McLeod. He graduated from Luverne High School and later moved to New York, where he graduated college with a degree in Bookkeeping. He was preceded in death by; his brother: Charles (Carolyn) McLeod of Elyria, OH; and his granddaughter: Briana Smith.
Johnny is survived by; one daughter: Cheryl Smith; three sons: Johnny Mac McLeod, Jr., Richard (Evette) Smith and Jermaine Smith; four grandchildren: Jeremiah Smith, Isiah Smith, Miracle Smith and Skylar Robinson; two sisters: Evelyn (Roosevelt) Berry of Goshen, AL and Betty (Robert) Kite of Luverne, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He also had a very special friend for many years: Tamara Cameron.
