With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Kavone Konjae "Lil Shawt" Smith-Mosquera. A native and resident of Montgomery, AL, Lil Shawt transitioned Tuesday, July 16th, 2024. He was 20. A Public Visitation will be held in the Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services Friday, July 26th, 2024 from 4M - 6PM. The Funeral Service will be held at Zion Hill M.B.C. on Saturday, July 27th at 2 PM. Committal and Interment will follow at Eastwood Memorial Gardens.
Kavone “Lil Shawt” Smith-Mosquera was the third child born to Delicia Mosquera and Eugene Smith, Jr. on July 12, 2004. He graduated from George W. Carver High School, class of 2022. Like his father, Kavone possessed a passion for music. He was a member of the school marching band, The Marching Wolverines, and played multiple sports as a youth. Kavone’s industrial life included employment with Zaxby’s, and more recently Hyundai MMC. He confessed Christ at an early age and joined Hall Memorial C.M.E. Church.
Kavone was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Smith, Jr.
He leaves to cherish very heartfelt memories; a loving and devoted mother: Delicia Mosquera; two sisters: Kyana Mosquera and Keyoncee Lindsey; two brothers: Keevijonte’ Mosquera and Arnez Bell; two nieces: Brooklyn Bell and Khloe (fur); grandparents: Bertha (Robert) Underwood, Diego Mosquera, Gwendolyn Smith-Kennedy and Eugene Smith, Sr.; aunts: Simone Williams and Dawn Louise, and Veronda Smith; uncles: Andre Williams, Bobby Williams, and Luis Mosquera; a god-mother: Enjolique Walters; a god-sister: Jakayla Symone Haigler; great aunts: Bernita Germany, Venus Babies, Phyllis (Vincent) Jones, Undria Brown, Indalisa Armstrong, LaShanetta Brown and JoAnn Lovett; a great-grandmother: Emma Brown; a devoted and special friend: Devarious “Nuk” Sword, and a host of special great aunts, great uncles, cousins and friends whom he loved dearly.
