With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mar'Dresha La'Kayla "Ladybug" Stovall. A native, and resident, of Montgomery, AL, Mar'Dresha transitioned Saturday, July 1st, 2023. She was 18. A Public Visitation will be held Friday, July 14th, 2023 between the hours of 4PM and 6PM at Jackson Professional Funeral Services. On Saturday, July 15th, 2023, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, in Montgomery, AL. A Public Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the Celebration of Life begins at 1 PM. Committal & Interment will follow at Oak Grove # 2 Cemetery in Fitzpatrick, AL.
The sun rose, and welcomed Mar’Dresha La’Kayla Stovall on July 8th, 2004. She was born to Leecha Barnett and Marvin Stovall. “Ladybug,” as she was affectionately called, was a beloved daughter, sister and friend. She attended Montgomery Public Schools, and was a Class of 2022 graduate of Sidney Lanier High School. Aspiring to be a Medical Assistant, Kayla was attending Fortis College while working at CSL Plasma Center.
She truly lived life to the fullest, and thoroughly enjoyed the simple pleasures in life like: dancing, going to parties, and chatting with family and friends. Kayla lived a full and warm life filled with fun, laughs and joy. She also had the most amazing smile.
Saturday, July 1st, 2023, Mar’Dresha heard the angel’s call and transitioned from this life to eternity. She leaves to forever cherish her memories, a devoted mother: Leecha (Keldrick Parker) Barnett; her father: Marvin Stovall; three brothers: Marvin Stovall, Jr., De’Andre Stovall and Princeton Gates; two sisters: Ja’quyah Barnett and Jermya Stovall; grandparents: Haywood Jackson and Odessa Stovall; step-siblings: Jacari Parker, Navaeh Parker and Johenya Parker; one God-sister: Emerie Brooks; nephews & nieces: Kingston McKeithen and Key’shon Henderson; Kacey Felder and Kimora Felder: an aunt: Anietra (Ralph) Bradford; two uncles: Andre Barnett and Cornelius (Cameka Gordon) Stovall; ten great-aunts: Delphine (Joe Jackson) Harris, Rita (James) Broughton, Tina (Fred Walker) Harris, Mary (Sam) Warren, Martha Knight, Lottie (James) Sellers, Freida Stovall, Irene Smith, Linda (Anthony) Levois, and Fannie Brown; three great-uncles; Leon (Fannie) Stovall, Sidney (Ada) Stovall, and Tony (Catrina) Jackson; a very devoted cousin: Kei’Andrea Walker; devoted friends: Shamari Trammer & Zak; and a host of cousins, extended family, other relatives and friends.
