Navis Jacquese (Boone) Fonville

With sincere compassion,  we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Navis Jacquese Fonville "Boone", a native of Montgomery, AL, and resident of Birmingham, AL. Mr. Fonville transitioned on Tuesday, March 9th, 2021. He was 32. A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, March 21st, 2021, at 4 PM, in the McComb Honorary Chapel of Jackson Professional Funeral Services. In compliance with government recommendations, individuals attending the service are required to wear a mask or face covering at all times while inside the facility. Temperature checks are also required upon entering the funeral home.  

Mr. Navis J. Fonville was born on July 1st, 1988 in Montgomery, Alabama. He started his journey in education at Davis Elementary School. After moving to Birmingham, Alabama, he graduated from Woodlawn High School. Navis always put his family first. He always made sure that they were taken care of, and were happy. He loved working, but his passion was cooking: and he was best known for grilling for any occasion.

Navis Fonville, aka "Boone" was preceded in death by his mom: Tonya R. Hunter; sister: Johnesia K. Hunter; Grandmothers: Juanita M. Fonville, Willie D. Blair, and Mary Perkins. Left to cherish his memories are a devoted sister: Alyxis H. Hunter of Montgomery AL; a brother: Kutavis (Cortina) Fonville of Birmingham, AL; father: John M. Hunter of Montgomery, AL; siblings-in-love: Brittany, Tiffany, And Whitney Washington all of Birmingham, AL; devoted niece and nephew: Alyxis "Chuggy" Hunter, and Dequandre "Tez" Tell both of Montgomery, AL. he also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
