With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mr. Raymond Junior Tellis. A resident of Montgomery, AL, Mr. Tellis transitioned Thursday, May 22nd, 2025. He was 19.
Mr. Raymond Tellis was born in Montgomery AL on March 31, 2006, to Shakita Tellis and Robert Leon Knight of Montgomery, AL. Raymond Junior Tellis attended True Grace House of Yahweh where he accepted Christ at a early age. Raymond Tellis departed this life on Thursday, May 22, 2025.
Raymond Tellis was a loving father. He was a hard worker and no task or job was too difficult. He was an image of his late grandfather, Henry Jones, who taught him the value of having a legacy, and some words to live by, " A man don't work, don't eat. He also discovered his talent and love for music for which he became known as MCL Za.
Mr. Tellis is preceded in death by; his grandfather: Henry James Jones; grandmother: Jeanetta Tellis Jones; his uncles: DeAndre Cottrell and Roberto "Dutt" Jackson; a great uncle: Anthony "Kenny" Jones.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory; one son: Aiden Briers Tellis, Jr.; a brother: Twin Ray James Tellis; grandmother: Marcella Knight; three uncles: Henry Tellis, Anthony Knight, Andre Knight; six aunts: Angela (Mitchell) Tellis Fields, Diana (John) Tellis Gordon, Jeanetta Tellis, Shanita (Terrance) Tellis, Latisha knight, and Vanessa Knight Duncan; and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, a multitude of cousins and friends who will all miss him dearly.
