His beginning...

Rev. Albert Raby, Jr. was born December 21st, 1938. Albert received Christ at an early age. As a youth, he was a member of Hollywood Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Samuel Morris. During this time, he was nurtured in Christianity, and also developed his love for ministry; later becoming ordained as a minister. After marriage, he joined The Church of God in Galvez, LA and served faithfully in several capacities. He loved knowledge and had several genres of education under his belt. After attaining a degree in Horticulture and Floral Design, Albert went on to explore entrepreneurship. His industrious life included owning and operating his own Florist Shop for many years. Later in life, he accepted a position with Galvez Middle School. There he served faithfully, until he retired after twenty-five years of dedicated service. Even as an older gentleman, he didn't stop there. Albert worked for ABC Career College for eight years until his health began to fail. Rev. Raby had many accomplishments. He was a man of honor and integrity. He was known for studiously working every task that he accepted. Whatever work his hands found to do, he would always be sure to see it through, and do it well. His hobbies included a passion for gardening, traveling, and more than anything else, ministry.

Faithful to God, and faithful to love, until the end...

After meeting and falling in love with Ms. Carrie Jackson Buffert; they shared more than three decades of love for one another, family and also ministry. It was never a surprise to find them working together, worshipping together, and always traveling together. Albert and Carrie were joined in Holy Matrimony on October 26th, 1991.
