Sheneke McKeithen

With sincere compassion, we respectfully announce the transition of Mrs. Sheneke McKeithen. A native and resident of Montgomery, AL. Mrs. Mckeithen transitioned Thursday, August 17th, 2022. She was 38. A Celebration of life will be held at McKeithen Cemetery in Millbrook on Sunday, August 21st, 2022 at 12NOON. Committal and Interment will follow the service. Bishop Robert Lewis of Abundant Life Fellowship is the officiant.

Sheneke Lashay Mckeithen Mckee was born to parents, Beatrice McKeithen and David Jones on March 26, 1984 in Montgomery Alabama. After the matrimony union of her father, she gained a bonus mom, Olivia Jones.

Sheneke accepted Christ at a young age at Old Augusta Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend Jerimiah Zeigler. She was a member of the youth choir.

She received her education in the Montgomery County Public School System.

On February 22, 2008, she married Jimmie McKee and to this union they were gifted two beautiful daughters.

Sheneke departed this life on Wednesday, August 17, 2022.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Beatrice McKeithen; sister, Dontrice McKeithen; grandparents, Robert and Mary McKeithen, Fannie Mae Lumpkin and Robert Jones; uncles, Robert Butler, Marcus McKeithen, Quinton McKeithen and Kenny Jones; aunt, Jackie Bibb.

The precious memories of her life will live on forever in the hearts of her husband, Jimmie McKee, two daughters, Antwonette McKeithen and Yasmine McKee all of Montgomery, AL; two brothers, Antquan Barnes and Robert Jones, both of Montgomery, AL; three sisters, Brittany (Calvin) Burnett, LaTerica Barnes, and Deja Jones, all of Montgomery, AL; uncles, Marion (Linda) McKeithen, Kenneth McKeithen, Henry Jones, Charles Jones, Albert Jones, Jimmie Bibb, Allen Watson, Freddie Watson, Eric Watson; aunts, Mary Butler, Corean Jones, Arlene Gray, Carolyn Graves, Loretta King, Angela Watson, Vinnie Watson, and Dr. Teresa (Martin) McCall all of Montgomery, AL; a host of nieces nephews, great uncles, great aunts, cousins and friends who loved her dearly.

Special thanks to Dr. Chan and the great ICU staff at Jackson Hospital and to her close friend Seneta Scott for everything that you did and many others far too numerous to name.
