Mrs. Shirley Jean Hardy-Davis gained her wings while surrounded by the laughter of her grandchildren, and the love and comfort of her children and siblings. Shelley, as she was affectionately called, was the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Julius C. & Florence (Dot) Hardy. Shelley received her elementary and high school education from Tyler Union High School. She confessed Christ at an early age and united with the Isabella Missionary Baptist Church in Tyler.
She met and married her childhood sweet heart Mr. Lee Davis. Though biological children were born to this couple, they were the mother and father to many.
Shelley lived her funeral each and every day of her life. Christianity is hinged upon giving, and for all who knew her, they knew she would give you the shirt off of her back without hesitation or reservation.
Shelly leaves to cherish her memories a husband: Mr. Lee E. Davis of Montgomery, AL; two daughters: Canita (Angel ) Davis and Tiffany S. Spears; five grandchildren: Ka'yauna, Ka'dariyan, Kam'bri, Karson and Karter, all of Montgomery, AL; seven brothers: Julius (Helen) Hardy of Tyler, AL, Elvis E. Hardy & Edward (LaWanda) Marshall of Tyler, AL, Marcus (Tasha) Hardy of Valley Grande, AL, Antonio (LaTasha) Hardy of Fort Deposit, AL, Darryl Hardy of Selma, AL and Antonio Hardy of Prattville, AL; two sisters, Lisa Mallard of Whitehall, AL & Donna (JB) Spears of Selma, AL; six sisters-in-laws: Clara hardy, Marie Davis, Adele Davis, Love Comer, Evelyn (Issac) Smith, Rosie Gunn Covington; three brothers-in-law: Nathaniel (Della) Davis, Square Davis, Sr. & Prince (Pearline) Perkins; two aunts: Willie B. Ross & Catherine Collins; one uncle: Jessie Walker, and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Shirley Davis was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
